Cantabae Education & Welfare Society has been constantly trying to improve learning outcomes of poor and underprivileged children in slums. These children suffer from extreme disparity and deprivation and are engaged in rag picking, waste picking or other small jobs. These children are not attending school regularly and are likely to drop out of school.
Remedial teaching centres have been opened in few locations to impart grade-specific education to slum children.
Moreover, providing training & employment initiatives to women also helped them to send children to school.
